The late Annabel Lintott

Annabel Lintott was a Wimbledon Village resident for many years; and a highly valued member of the Bayley & Sage (B&S) family in her role as Marketing Director.  She died of Ovarian Cancer in February 2021 at just 46. A group of her friends devised ‘Coast to Toast’, a cycle event with a difference! The group of 9 riders will start pedalling at the coast in Milford on Sea, Hampshire; stop at the Wiston vineyard to collect trailers laden with wine and tow these up to Wimbledon Village. On arrival at B&S, the team will celebrate Annabel’s life with a toast. The event will raise money for Target Ovarian Cancer to support training for GPs in early diagnosis and symptom awareness.

The event will take place on Saturday 2nd October, riders are due to arrive in Bayley & Sage at 6pm.

Jennie Allen, B& S founder, close colleague and friend of Annabel’s said “as a woman who has had ovarian cancer twice and fortunate to be in full health, I believe it to be vital that we stop women like Annabel dying of this disease. Early diagnosis is crucial. This is a fantastic tribute to Annabel and a wonderful way to raise funds for Target Ovarian Cancer”. https://www.bayley-sage.co.uk/

11 women die every day from ovarian cancer, and early diagnosis is key. But 4 in 5 women cannot name bloating as one of the key symptoms of the disease. The symptoms of ovarian cancer are:
Persistent bloating- not bloating that comes and goes
Feeling full or loss of appetite
Tummy pain
Needing to wee more often or more urgently
