Ripley Court School in Surrey is pleased to announce that Ms Aislinn Clarke will be joining the school as the new Headmistress. She was previously Deputy Head at St Hilary’s Preparatory School in Godalming and brings with her a wealth of experience. She began her teaching career in Woking and, since then, has worked in a range of independent Preparatory Schools in, and around, Surrey and London.

Ms Aislinn Clarke

Ms Clarke joins the School in unprecedented times of lockdown and home schooling and has been working with Ripley Court staff throughout the Easter holiday to prepare for the summer term. Ms Clarke has been extremely impressed by the dedication and efforts of each staff member at Ripley Court who ensured our pupils and parents received the utmost support in these uncertain times, including the delivery of home learning packs and resources to pupils: “We are going through a period in time that will be marked in history. I have been so impressed by the outstanding professionalism of the Ripley Court staff in facilitating remote learning. Ripley Court School is a very special place, and this has been highlighted even more so in the recent weeks. Parents and staff have all worked together, and supported each other, in ensuring that pupils are receiving the best educational provision that they can while schools remain closed.”

Ripley Court School has also been praised by both parents and the local community for continuing their care and provision for children of parents who are key workers, as well as children from neighbouring schools whose parents are working on the frontline.

One parent, a key worker, thanked the school and said “A very big thanks to Ripley Court School for supporting key workers and enabling them to continue with their jobs by remaining open for our children even during holidays. Our school stands out as not all schools were supportive in this time of need. Something that stands out as a valuable message for Ripley pupils is that our school willingly and happily accommodated children from other schools.”

As a school we are very much looking forward to the summer term, and when we are able, to opening our doors again to welcome everyone back to the beautiful grounds and meet Ms Aislinn Clarke in person.
