During the coronavirus pandemic, the rainbow has become a symbol of support and appreciation for people wanting to show solidarity with NHS workers on the front line. The trend was reportedly started by a nurse who wanted to create ‘’a sign of hope’’ for patients and staff in hospitals across the country.
To raise support for our front line NHS staff Mary Spiteri, proprietor of Titfer Tat hats, based in Richmond, has created classic occasion hat with rainbow swirls that is supporting The Vineyard community and can be viewed for donations at the National Westminster Bank in Richmond, Surrey. The auction ends on 16 June.

Award-winning London milliner, Mary Spiteri, has been making hats and headpieces for over twenty years, specialising in couture, bespoke, and luxury hats.
Mary has created a beautiful hat in a easy to wear classic shape which, if put on sale in her Richmond store, would be priced at over £500. The theme for this one-off special creation is a Stunning Rainbow. The rainbow has been made with layering of material in different colours which symbolises appreciation for our amazing NHS.
Mary is happy to donate this special hat to raise funds for the Vineyard Community charity which operates the Richmond foodbank, and to add her support in these difficult times.
