2. The National Theatre Live: Watch At Home

The NT Live has been a favourite for cinema goers who’ve been able to watch plays love for some time now but they are now available for us to enjoy at home on YouTube as long as the UK theatres are closed due to lockdown.

Three full length plays ‘Every Thursday’ at 7pm, available for one week. A variety of shows and plays available until October.

3. Shakespeare’s Globe

Shakespeare’s Globe plans to make available all its 34 productions from the 2012 Globe to Globe series – a small fee will be payable for these. The programme includes: Korean ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, Polish ‘Macbeth’, Hebrew ‘The Merchant of Venice’ and Macedonian ‘Henry VI Part 3’ and many more. For the full list click here.

‘Shakespeare & Love in Isolation’, is a new series made specially for this time we are all experiencing together. Artists will share Shakespeare’s words from self-isolation, including: Terry and her actor husband Paul Ready discussing some of their favourite works by the Bard in the podcast ‘Such Stuff’. It will also include a celebration of Shakespeare’s birthday on April 23 with the former Globe Director Mark Rylance.
