The 80s were a formative time for artist Kate Winskill. Working in PR & advertising post graduation, the period seemed several colours brighter than the 1970. The music and image of Prince embodied this. He,like Bowie in the 1970s, was an icon of the time, musically and visually and Prince is a major character in her Famous Face artwork collection. As part of this Famous Face series, Kate Winskill has painted from vintage photography, using watercolour, acrylic and varnishes and has added digital colouring to create pop artist inspired pieces. Different colour ways are available to create grids of portraits in a range of colours.
