The Spirit of Christmas lights on Regent Street

‘The Spirit of Christmas’ will be lit from 9 November 2022, with the displays switched on from 2pm to midnight everyday. The moment that the Spirit lights up central London it marks the start of the festive season, with the stunning Spirits soaring through the skies above the Regent Street and St James’s neighbourhoods.

Diwali 22nd October – 26th October

Diwali, the festival of lights, is around the corner. Not just Diwali, but also Dhanteras’ preparation is witnessed in a full swing. Dhanteras, which marks the beginning of the five-day festival of lights, is considered a propitious day to buy and bring in new metal items, especially metals like gold and silver.

Diwali is celebrated widely in centres like in London, Birmingham, Belfast, Edinburgh, Leicester and other multicultural cities in Britain. Celebrations include firework displays, Diwali lanterns, music, dancing, plays, as well as delicious traditional Indian food and sweets.
