Local cake maker, Jayanne of ‘Cake Girl London’ has recently moved to exciting new premises at Hersham Farm near Chertsey. And along with the bakery comes a brand-new cafe, which will be launching to the public on 27th and 28th January.
Customers will be treated to a glass of bubbles and everyone who buys a hot drink will be given a delicious cake pop to enjoy with their beverage. There will also be a competition to win a £50.00 voucher by signing up to Cake Girl London’s e-mail newsletter.
The cafe will be open between 10am – 2pm for launch weekend, serving pastries for breakfast and bagels and sausage rolls for lunch. Going forward, the cafe will be open 7.30am – 3pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am – 3pm at the weekend. As well as enjoying Cake Girl’s produce in relaxing countryside surroundings, customers can also collect pre-ordered cakes from the cafe at their convenience.
Cake Girl was first by Jayanne Scarrott, a qualified cake maker from Weybridge specialising in Cake Artistry, Patisserie, and Confectionery. Jayanne had the good fortune to work with Michelin Star chefs, notably Michael Caines and Gary Rhodes.
While training as a chef she gravitated towards assisting in the kitchen’s bakery department. As Jayanne’s love for cake making developed, she received many requests from family and friends for cakes. It was the overwhelming positive feedback from her first ‘real’ wedding cake created for her sister that finally convinced Jayanne to become a full-time cake maker.
Jayanne now creates show-stopping cakes for all occasions from weddings, to birthdays, to christenings, as well as dessert tables, cupcake decorating parties and even breakfast deliveries for local businesses to boost morale in morning meetings. Jayanne only needs two days’ notice for cakes ordered online and can cater for special dietary requirements.
“We’re so excited to be opening our cafe doors after a lot of hard work to get us to this point. We’re thrilled to be able to offer even more to our loyal customers and to welcome new customers to the fun world of Cake Girl London,” said Jayanne.
