This August you can have a great family day out by joining the fun at The Royal Parks Discovery days. The Discovery days takes place in August on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at the LookOut discovery centre in Hyde Park.

What’s on offer

A wonderful opportunity for families wanting to enjoy their summer outdoors and entertain the kids for free whilst connecting to nature. Led by their expert learning team, you can enjoy a range of free and fun nature-inspired activities. You could be hunting for treasure, sweep netting in a meadow, or bug hunting at their minibeast hotel. Each week is themed from Peter Pan, Meadow Madness, and Life Underground. The activities are suitable for the whole family to enjoy and connect with nature together (and finding your inner child!).

Families will also have the opportunity to explore Hyde Park on one of their family-friendly nature trails and take part in a fantastic interactive story, brought by a professional storyteller, and use your imagination to discover the park’s hidden worlds through fictional characters. There are also arts and crafts to keep your little ones entertained with an opportunity to create a keepsake to take home as a reminder of your adventures. Or you can relax on their sun deck and take in the beautiful scenery.
