Forbes featured entrepreneur and international speaker, Sabrina Stocker, credits her ties with the world of tennis and love of all things Wimbledon for being the catalyst to her own business success.
As the owner and CEO of https://twocommapr.com which enables her international client base to grow their businesses and brands through digital media, Sabrina, 28, took time out to chat to Darling about her own business journey and as a former tennis coach her excitement with Wimbledon fast approaching.
Sabrina who many people might recognise from BBC1’s The Apprentice where she reached the semi-finals in 2018, said: “I’ve always had an entrepreneurial gene.
“Prior to the pandemic I ran my own tennis events company and worked as a tennis coach hence my big love for the sport.
“At the time my business was growing really well but COVID meant I had to shut the business down.
“I’m nothing but a fighter and realised I couldn’t sit back and do nothing so set up the app Shopping Slot offering food delivery slots during lockdown.
“At one point I had over 500,000 users.”
It was also at this point that Sabrina founded TwoComma remotely in December 2020.
Now she is also in demand as an international speaker and presenter at business events.
Sabrina who is passionate about mentoring other young businesswomen credits Dragons’ Den star Deborah Meaden and former Olympic champion Kelly Holmes as two of her own mentors is originally from Hillingdon, Greater London, but her tennis business and coaching work formed her unbreakable bond with Wimbledon area and of course the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
“I started playing tennis from the age of 7 when my father used to bring me to Wimbledon.
“My younger brother Kyle himself is a tennis professional and travels the world.
“When I was 21 I got to coach at Wimbledon alongside Tim Henman on the road to Wimbledon finals day.
“We used to sit as a family on Henman Hill as it was known back then and he’s always been one of my favourite players
“I love the buzz of Wimbledon fortnight especially the Village with all the shops and businesses decked out in flowers.
“As a teenager I’d go around with one of those giant Wimbledon tennis balls collecting autographs of the famous players.”
A passionate believer in a work/life balance, Sabrina and her staff run her business remotely meaning she can indulge her passion for travelling and enjoying exercise and healthy eating.
She said:”Mental and physical health are two very important driving factors in my life.
“Of course work is important to me but I don’t prioritise over seeing family and friends because they are the factors that keep me nourished and happy.
“For that reason you’ll probably see my floating around the Village next month catching up with all my tennis friends.
