Sarves Background

Since childhood, music and chanting has been a part of Sarves’ life and some of her earliest memories are of singing devotional songs with her family.

Her passion for yoga, meditation, and healing combined with her love for music serves as an inspiration for the sacred songs she creates.

When her family moved to the city, Sarves was introduced to a mentor named Srimathi Vijayalakshmi Kulaveerasingam who would teach her Carnatic vocals. Soon, Sarves recorded and sang at the national radio station Radio Television Malaysia (RTM).

She moved to London and met another mentor, Srimathi Sivasakthi Sivanesan, who taught her music at the Bhavan in London. She learned under maestros including Dr. M Balamuralikrishna and Dr. T. V. Gopalakrishnan and performed at new venues. During this period, she was introduced to Kriya Yoga and began meditation.

When the pandemic struck, Sarves found herself digging into music like never before and began creating songs with her own unique style.
