The plot!
Ahoy there, me hearties – all aboard for the adventure of a lifetime! Long John Silver and his fearsome crew may think that treasure is within their grasp, but they’ve reckoned without the ladies of the Smuggler’s Cove Women’s Institute… Filled with mischief, custard pies, song, dance and laughter, this is a voyage into panto mayhem that you definitely do not want to miss!

In the heart of Raynes Park, The Lantern Arts Centre has been delivering fantastic, fun, family-friendly pantomimes at an affordable ticket price for over 25 years. With a hilarious script by panto-legend Ben Crocker, direction from the LAC’s Artistic Director, Amy Phillips, and an all-singing, all-dancing cast of LAC talent – dress the kids up as pirates and book now to avoid disappointment!

Situated in the heart of Raynes Park, The Lantern Arts Centre is proud to be a thriving community arts centre and a warm and friendly space where all are welcome. We believe creativity is for everyone and that bringing community together has never been more important. Housed in the beautiful art-deco building of the Lantern Methodist Church, we are a registered charity offering a range of classes and courses for all age groups and a host of amazing and affordable entertainment from dazzling community theatre to brilliant visiting theatre companies.
We have a fantastic Youth Theatre and Children’s Theatre Club (3yrs – 18yrs), Silver Screen – a free Film Club for retired folks, the Lantern Arts Choir, Swing Dance, a local artist’s gallery and acting and singing workshops and classes. We also offer activities for Under 5’s including Once Upon A Storytime on Monday mornings and the Lantern Playzone on Fridays. For all your costume needs there is the Lantern Costume Store which has an incredible range of costumes and is used by local and national theatre companies as well as schools, amateur productions and lots of parents in the lead up to World Book Day!
