Kate Winskill was asked by a regular client to produce an artwork version of Amy Winehouse as part of her Famous Face artwork collection. Kate researched Amy by watching several documentaries about her tragically short life. An enormously talented singer and songwriter, this art commission brought Amy’s music into Kate’s world.
As part of this Famous Face series, Kate has painted from vintage photography, using watercolour, acrylic and varnishes and has added digital colouring to create pop artist inspired pieces. Different colour ways are available to create grids of portraits in a range of colours.
