Life is short and there is no time to waste. If you have a dream, go for it!
I’m Annie, a mum, a wife and a professional photographer from Surrey. I fell in love with photography soon after my daughter was born. Couldn’t believe that after 39 years of searching I finally found my dream job! Now I work full time creating memories for families and content for brands as well as developing this new side to my business while enhancing any client’s confidence at the same time that’s how my new boudoir photography was born.
Boudoir sessions with difference
I often get asked about boudoir sessions. As much as I love them, I wanted to create something different. So I created the confidence boosting sessions. I prefer bare feet to high heels, face paint to pearls, and the forest to the bedroom, but this is just my style, my preference. All I want is for you to feel amazing, beautiful, free spirited! I want you to feel YOU!
Here’s what you need to know about boudoir
The whole session is about YOU. The Boudoir photography session with Annie is about capturing every beautiful part of you and it’s not scary at all! There is definitely a stigma about boudoir sessions being “scandalous” but the reality is they are only as scandalous as you want them to be – and most photographers (myself included) won’t photograph any part of you that wouldn’t be seen in a bikini!
What will you be wearing?
Well, wear what makes you feel beautiful. You can pick lingerie that is as full coverage or as sheer as you like. You can even spend the whole shoot in his t-shirt or button down if you want. These sessions are a HUGE confidence booster. You’ll be amazed at how good it feels to accept and love your body exactly the way it is!
No one has to see them unless you want them to. Even though you probably aren’t showing much more skin than you would at the beach, you can keep the photos between you and your significant other if you want! Taking boudoir photos doesn’t mean that every person in the world is going to see you in your underwear.

Tips and what to keep in mind
You should be careful about the photographer you book for your boudoir photos. Do your research to make sure your photographer is accountable. Look at their Instagram, and their website, ask them as many questions as you want before you book. And if at all possible, share your location with a friend before going! JUST BE SMART AND BE SAFE.
You also want to choose carefully because not all photographers are good at shooting people in a flattering way. Posing, camera angles, framing and editing are all major factors and skills that vary between photographers. Look through their portfolio before booking- even if the photos aren’t necessarily boudoir, you can get a feel for if the subjects look awkward and uncomfortable or if they look natural and attractive.
Boudoir photos are a keepsake gift that you and your love will cherish forever! Make them into a beautiful book or print them and store them in a special box! For a less discreet option make them into a sexy calendar! Nothing like gorgeous photos of his girl to make him excited for the days ahead!
These photos are your decision! You don’t have to do them if you don’t want to and of course if you do want to- don’t let anyone stop you! There is nothing shameful or inappropriate about boudoir photography! It’s fun, it’s pretty, it can be well-done and classy, and your love will love them!
There is nothing that makes me happier than teaming up with an incredible client and putting together something beautiful! I love creating inside my studio, and outside at amazing locations, whatever your vision is, I want to make it happen.
What women are saying
‘I simply adore the way Annie works – she always relaxes me, and we have so much fun on the shoot – she works her magic with light and produces the most fabulous images – I adore them! The boudoir shoot was incredibly empowering, and I can’t believe how relaxed I felt – Annie is a genius with a camera and an absolute professional!’ – Jo
‘I booked a shoot with Annie for a boudoir photography session as a late birthday present, and I have to say I was not disappointed. Annie has a gorgeous, homely studio and really made me feel welcome. She was encouraging and supportive throughout which really improved my confidence. It was lovely to feel like a million dollars for a short while. I’d recommend it as an alternative to a pampering session. Absolutely first class service and photography from Annie. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.’ – Khanica
