It can be a tad soul-crushing in a way, you’re just trying to find your path in life, you’re trying to live your best life, yet you don’t feel fine. Well, don’t feel as fine as you’d like to feel at least. It’s like you’re supposed to be young enough that people still expect you to feel fine, but old enough, or honestly just tired enough, that your body has started, well, having aches and pains, and you can’t help but complain about it.

As the back hurts after sitting too long, your joints are popping. Have you gotten on the floor recently? Because that requires some extra effort now. H, and don’t forget about energy levels here either, and all that brain fog too. And yeah, it can feel weird because none of this sounds like it should be happening yet. This is supposed to be the energetic era, right? The “you’re still young” era.

But daily life isn’t exactly gentle on the body. So what gives? Better yet, what can you even do?

Why Feeling Older Can Start Before You Actually Feel “Old”-darling-magazine-uk

Your Body Notices the Lifestyle Before You Do

Well, sure, it’s easy to ignore the little signs at first because they don’t feel serious enough to change anything. For example, something smallish like a stiff neck after work, tight hips from sitting, a back that complains after standing too long, joints cracking when walking downstairs, all of that can get brushed off as normal. But normal doesn’t always mean ideal, though. Just think about it, if the same parts of the body keep feeling stiff, tired, or irritated, there’s probably a reason.

Energy isn’t Just About Sleeping More

For starters, how much are you sleeping? While of course sleep matters, obviously, but energy is more complicated than getting one decent night. The body doesn’t really work that way, and theres so many other factors like stress, food, hydration, movement, screen overload, hormones, and recovery, yes, all play their little parts. That sluggish feeling can come from a routine that looks fine from the outside but doesn’t actually give the body much support. For example, are you using too much caffeine?

Are your meals rushed? Are you actually working out? Are you eating proper food? How are your stress levels? There are some people who try to get nitty-gritty and try to focus on cellular energy and healthy aging, so you could even look into Urolithin A, while on top of that, focusing on improving your routine and improving your lifestyle, so it can become a little healthier.

Brain Fog is a Sign

Well, anyone of any age can have brain fog. But sure, anyone and everyone can agree here that brain fog is especially frustrating because it makes even basic tasks feel heavier. Reading the same email three times, forgetting why a tab is open, walking into a room and immediately losing the plot, yeah, delightful stuff. But usually it just means too much mental noise. Like too much is going on in your head (like if you’re stressed), if you’re not resting enough (sleep and relaxation), and sometimes that includes an unhealthy diet too.
