We are excited to announce that our Patron, Joanna Lumley OBE is challenging children 12 and under (in three age groups) to join the free Kids for Kids’ competition to draw a Goat for Darfur during lockdown. The prizes are gorgeous cuddly little goat toys – new friends when they need them most!
Please will you invite children to take part – it will be an afternoon of fun during lockdown. Deadline for entries is Friday 29th May 2020. All works of art will be displayed on the Kids for Kids’ Drawn…to Darfur webpage. Full competition details are available here.
What is Kids for Kids doing to fight the virus?
URGENT APPEAL: Soap to Combat COVID-19
Our Appeal for Soap to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to the rural villages of Darfur, Sudan is Urgent. There is no healthcare available in rural communities so the only defence people can have is to wash properly. Just £20 will provide 5 bars of soap, illustrated instruction leaflets, and transportation to the village – for 10 families. Read our Urgent Appeal live on our website. Please donate soap right now.
Help Families to feed their children. Malnutrition is a serious risk in every village of Darfur this summer. Children who are malnourished are likely to succumb to the virus. Can you help us provide more goats so that children have goat’s milk? Read here about Three Things You Can Do Right Now.
