As the seasons shift and the days grow shorter, our wardrobes inevitably follow suit. Winter dressing is about more than just warmth, it’s an opportunity to layer with intention, embrace texture, and refine your personal style.

By Helen Canning, Stylist
This season, we see a beautiful balance between cosy essentials and elevated statements, offering looks that work just as well for the office as they do for evenings out.
Winter Warmers
Think tactile textures and timeless neutrals. Chunky knits, tailored coats, suede accents and rich chocolate browns are the building blocks of a winter wardrobe. Invest in pieces you can wear over and over: a cashmere rollneck, checked tailored trousers, or a classic wool coat.
Luxe Minimalism
This season, minimalism is luxe. Quiet luxury is all about refined silhouettes, tonal layering, and high-quality fabrics that speak for themselves. Look for structured coats in deep neutrals, sleek tailoring and tonal dresses in shades like deep burgundy.
Day to Night Dressing
We all need versatility in our wardrobes, and your styling mantra should be adaptability. Day-to-night dressing is about selecting pieces that transition effortlessly. A satin slip dress layered under a blazer, tailored trousers paired with a silk cami, or a sleek wrap dress are perfect examples.
After Dark
Winter nights call for drama. Sequins, velvet, faux fur trims and jewel tones dominate evening wear. This is your time to indulge in fashion theatre, from cocktail dinners to festive celebrations. Styling tip: balance bold textures with streamlined silhouettes. A velvet trouser suit or a sequin dress with a tailored blazer will feel just as elegant as an evening dress.
Winter style is about making considered choices, investing in timeless staples, playing with textures, and layering with intention so you arrive at every moment confident and impeccably styled.
