In an intimate setting at The Dixon on Tooley Street, Olivia Black unveiled her highly anticipated SS26 collection, “Serendipity,” during London Fashion Week on Friday, 19 September. The show, which welcomed guests with drinks before a 5:30 PM catwalk, offered both a visual feast and a narrative of personal and collective inspiration.
“Serendipity” is a celebration of chance encounters, mentorship, and the creative communities that have shaped Black’s journey. Drawing inspiration from magpies, the collection featured striking black-and-white palettes accented with metallic gold, symbolising the richness of discovery and connection. Each piece tells a story, blending influences, craft, and memories into wearable statements.

The collection maintained Black’s signature dedication to sustainability and timeless elegance. Tailored blazers, coats, trousers, dresses, skirts, and shirts were crafted from locally sourced natural fibres and carefully selected deadstock fabrics. The recurring safety pin motif, a nod to Black’s seamstress grandmother, wove through the collection as a symbol of community and continuity.
Guests praised the show for its refined approach to elevated basics that are both modern and enduring. The designs highlighted how fashion can simultaneously honor heritage and embrace contemporary sensibilities.

Olivia Black, a British-Irish emerging designer, has been gaining recognition for redefining sustainable luxury with emotion, edge, and inclusivity. “Serendipity” reinforces her philosophy that fashion is not just about garments, but about the stories, relationships, and traditions stitched into every piece.

The event concluded with networking and drinks, leaving attendees inspired by the depth, thoughtfulness, and craft behind each design. Black’s SS26 collection is a reminder that fashion can be both personal and universal, timeless yet deeply rooted in community.
