Black PR has announced the presentation of Fam Irvoll’s Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, I Used to Be Seventeen, staged with Fashion Scout on 21 February 2026 during London Fashion Week.

For AW26, the Norwegian designer unveiled a collection that draws on the heightened emotional landscape of adolescence. I Used to Be Seventeen reflects on formative experiences, first rebellions, first heartbreaks, and private diary confessions, channelling the intensity and unapologetic confidence often associated with teenage identity.

Irvoll, known for challenging the pared-back aesthetic traditionally linked to Scandinavian design, once again embraced a maximalist approach. The runway featured bold colour palettes, amplified silhouettes and playful embellishments, combined with tactile three-dimensional elements. Layered narratives ran throughout the collection, reinforcing the autobiographical thread underpinning the show.

Educated at Esmod Oslo and Central Saint Martins, Irvoll has built a reputation for merging technical craftsmanship with imaginative storytelling. Her work deliberately departs from minimalist conventions, favouring expressive and theatrical design codes.
Her creations have been worn by international artists including Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Rihanna and Katy Perry. In Norway, she has also gained mainstream recognition through her television series FAM, further amplifying her profile beyond the runway.

Through both her aesthetic choices and public engagement, Irvoll has positioned herself as a distinctive voice within contemporary fashion. With I Used to Be Seventeen, she continues to merge personal narrative with high-impact visual design, reinforcing her reputation for bold, emotionally resonant collections on the international stage.
