Back by popular demand, the cult Christmas comedy spectacular The Christmas Thing returns to Seven Dials Playhouse this December after a wildly successful 2024 run that had audiences and critics alike in fits of festive laughter.
Created by lifelong friends Tom Clarkson and Owen Visser, The Christmas Thing is part TV special, part live variety show, a multimedia mash-up where Christmas cheer collides with gleeful chaos. Expect drumming robots, remote-controlled cameras, slapstick sketches, surprise guests, Christmas games, music, and a live studio audience (that’s you) as the duo create a full-blown Christmas broadcast… to nowhere.
Inspired by the anarchic energy of Morecambe & Wise, the unpredictability of Noel’s House Party, and the cult silliness of Shooting Stars, Tom and Owen bring a whirlwind of mischief to the stage, blending finely tuned craft with joyful anarchy.
